About The Position

The Development Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director and development team to support fundraising initiatives and coordinate development events. This role manages event logistics, maintains donor data and CRM systems, and assists with development communications across digital platforms. Key responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of fundraising events (e.g., walks, golf outings, and social events), managing CRM/database records and reporting, assisting with digital communications such as social media, e-newsletters, and website updates, creating digital content, supporting the donor communications calendar, and providing general administrative support to the development team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong commitment to supporting fundraising growth and team success:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum 2-3 experience in large-scale special event planning
  • Superior interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with technology and digital platforms (e.g.; CRM, Microsoft Office, Canva; social media platforms; email marketing and web platforms. Knowledge of HTML and CRM software a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, board members and volunteers is preferred
  • Knowledge of HTML and CRM software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for development events (walk, golf outing, social events), including permits, city coordination, site selection, contracts, AV, signage, rentals, registration, and volunteer support
  • Lead execution of donor cultivation events - managing invitations, vendor coordination, catering, guest experience, check-in, and event production
  • Support event committees by coordinating logistics, meetings, and follow-up in partnership with the Development Manager
  • Assist with development event budgets, financial tracking, and reporting
  • Manage donor data and reporting as a “super user” of development platforms (Salesforce, Rallybound, Classy) to support donor outreach
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgment and recognition for event donors and sponsors
  • Perform other duties as assigned
