What You'll Do:
In the Development Coordinator role, you’ll collaborate with Development department staff, donors, and volunteers, and programs staff to implement development goals. This position will be responsible for forging and developing working relationships with donors, volunteers, and the community, nurturing their connection to the organization. Duties include maintaining donor databases, implementing fundraising campaigns, representing the agency to the public, and effectively acknowledging the donors.
Establish and cultivate relationships with donors of all types and appropriately move forward towards asking for charitable gifts
Represents the agency at community events and outreach opportunities through public speaking and presentations
Initiates contact and follows up with donors and prospects in collaboration with other Development staff, CEO, and volunteers, as appropriate
Keeps up-to-date records in donor database, accurately tracking all interactions, gifts, tours and correspondence
Initiates contact and follows up with individual donors and prospects in collaboration with other Development staff, CEO, and volunteers, as appropriate
Regularly interacts with donors, including thank you letters and personal correspondences
Works closely with the communications team support fundraising needs among all communications and marketing channels
Pulls lists and occasionally prepares various donor reports
Writes and reviews donor proposals, making direct solicitations when necessary
Collaborates with development staff to ensure completeness and accuracy of donor data
Assist in planning and execution of all annual giving activities like golf tournament, donor recognition events and Change Your Mind Festival and funds raised
Performs additional duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
2+ years of prior development experience, preferred
Knowledge of donor databases, preferred
Location: Onsite/Escondido
Hourly Rate: $20.00-$25.00
Hours: Monday- Friday: 9am-5pm
