About The Position

The DevSecOps Engineer supports CMS by building and maintaining secure, automated, and cloud-based development and deployment environments. This role ensures systems are scalable, compliant, and aligned with federal security requirements.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps or cloud experience
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes
• Familiarity with federal security frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Nice To Haves

• CMS or federal project experience
• Knowledge of Zero Trust concepts
• Experience supporting ATO/RMF processes
• Relevant certifications (AWS, Security+, Kubernetes, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery
• Integrate security tools and testing into development workflows
• Support cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Manage containers and Kubernetes environments
• Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and CMS security standards
• Monitor systems, resolve vulnerabilities, and support audits/ATO
