The Dielectric Testing Technician is responsible for operating dielectric testing equipment and conducting testing on lineman’s gloves and other equipment. This position will travel at least 25% of the time. This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Some dielectric testing experience required
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) are required
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Basic math, calculator, and computer skills are required
  • Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record is required
  • Overnight travel (25%) is required

Responsibilities

  • Performs receiving and batching of orders.
  • Reads paperwork for special instructions requested by the client.
  • Cleans rubber goods as needed before testing.
  • Operates dielectric testing equipment and conducts testing on lineman’s gloves and other dielectric equipment.
  • Performs inspection after testing.
  • Stamps date of testing on product tested.
  • Maintains detailed documentation and data by completing paperwork on pass or fail.
  • Communicates effectively with clients and co-workers.
  • Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
