About The Position

Part time, 12 hours per week Varied shift Every other weekend Performs tasks involved in providing a quality food service experience for patients. Responsible for quick, accurate and courteous service as well as acting as customer service liaison between nursing service, patients and the food and nutrition department. Requirements

Minimum 2 years high school; high school graduate or equivalent preferred
Customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of modified diets or tray preparation preferred.
Ability to communicate, follow instructions and write legibly.
Demonstrates excellent oral communication skills, in person and telephone, excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrates basic computer knowledge.
Interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, patients, medical staff and others.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience preferred.

Processes and maintains patient diet orders.
Modifies menus utilizing the diet manual.
Adjusts menus and snacks to provide patients food preferences and age specific needs.
Interviews patients for food preferences.
Works with patients and/or nursing staff to resolve tray service and/or food issues.
Checks patient tray lines.
Maintains record information.
Collects performance improvement data.
Performs other related work as required or requested.
