NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans. Cook/Housekeeper Full time, 10 hr shifts $17-19/hr SUMMARY Coordinates menus and maintains kitchen inventory. Handles food properly in compliance with health safety. Prepares food for individuals receiving services. Ensures cooking equipment is in good order. Assists with cleaning/housekeeping throughout the facility. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below: Reviews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared. Prepares, seasons and cooks food. Carves portions of meat, fish or fowl for individual servings. Inspects food storage and directs sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities. Oversees and coordinates activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods. Plans and reviews menus. Determines food quantities, labor and overhead costs. May participate in food preparation. Performs other related duties and activities as required.
