Website: https://www.nnmc.com This Dietary Supervisor opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convient schedule. This position is for our Rehab Hospital located in Northwest Reno. This dynamic individual will be responsible for directing and supervising food service employees to ensure all duties, including food production and sanitation requirements, are completed in a safe timely manner, according to all local, state, federal regulations and standards of TJC.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as a supervisor or manager in a food service facility. Experience in acute care hospital or institutional food service preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Certified by Washoe County as a Food Protection Manager preferred.
- Experience in acute care hospital or institutional food service preferred.
- Associates Degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Overseas sanitary food handling procedures, ensuring HACCP principles and state regulated codes are adhered to by staff.
- Supervises dietary staff in areas of food service and cafeteria in line with the department and hospital mission.
- Instructs staff in sanitation, infection control, portion control and safe food handling through monthly in-services and on a as needed basis.
- Actively participates in recipe development, inventory, and ordering of supplies within budget constraints.
