This position collaborates with Registered Dietitians and the healthcare team to provide clinical nutrition care for moderate and low nutritional risk patients. Provides nutritional education and instruction based on physician orders, performs timely nutrition assessments and screenings to identify at-risk patients, and documents care in medical records while meeting regulatory requirements. Prioritizes tasks effectively to maintain productivity standards, assists with quality improvement activities, conducts meal rounds, and makes clinical judgment decisions regarding patient care. This position significantly impacts customer satisfaction and may provide direction to department staff in delivering quality nutrition patient care. Banner Thunderbird is a desirable facility with the diversity of populations from neonatal, to pediatric to adult and geriatric populations. Have inpatient behavioral health units for adult and peds as well. Also we are a level 1 Trauma center so the the patient populations are acute and variable. Large hospital so ability to cover multiple areas to stay practiced. Growing with new tower opening in 2026 with additional Med/surg beds and Women and Infant Services beds including increase in NICU beds.
