The Digital Analyst will analyze CX/UX & digital business requirements and translate requirements into functional design specifications in a hybrid Agile/Scrum/Kanban working environment. The Digital Analyst will assist in creating appropriate system requirements suitable for systems developers’ use and project planning.

Requirements

  • Experience participating on IT projects and processes, supporting the analysis and testing activities, and/or contributing to project deliverables and support.
  • Understands and/or has experience with Agile/Scrum processes and methodologies as well as CX/UX related methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including listening, problem-solving, and the ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a matrix team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Slack and JIRA.
  • Experience with various technologies including but not limited to: Guidewire Insurance Suite, AMS (agency management systems), internal and external facing portals, CRM solutions, application analytics (i.e. Google Analytics), data visualization solutions (i.e. Tableau)
  • Supplemental insurance education/designations.
  • Previous P/C insurance industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional epics/story cards in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
  • Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, this includes interviewing internal / external stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to understand the solutions that they need.
  • Support new and existing technologies that turn underwriting, claims, distribution and billing into measurable, optimizable digital workflows.
  • Provide support of existing systems through investigation of problems reported, updates of support tables/files, and preparation of reports as requested.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, product owners, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Analyze issues working in partnership with business, system and/or vendor areas to achieve effective resolutions through computer applications.
  • Develop detailed requirements, system documentation, and workflow procedures to ensure business needs are met by providing detailed requirements and business specifications.
  • Consult, analyze, and problem-solve to help guide the business in making good technology related decisions.
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of the defined software solution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
