About The Position

ATMRO Engineering team are a diverse global team focused on engineering processes throughout the assembly and test operations at our development, production, and repair sites. In this role as a Digital Architect, you will be responsible for maintaining a large legacy code base while developing new engineering solutions for our shops. This job requires a high level of operational judgement, professional autonomy, and intrinsic motivation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software architecture.
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Eligibility Requirement: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

Responsibilities

  • Strong proven software skills in a variety of languages. With an emphasis on the following in order of relevance. Python (including Flask), VB6, Rust, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Capability to define and control assembly and test processes by maintaining and creating digital tools that aid in the assembly and test of our products.
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor applications of new product, tools, or equipment
  • Collaborate across multiple facilities to develop specialized processes and operations, to deliver engineering solutions
  • Maintain awareness of industry standards and norms related to coding and cybersecurity best practices while serving as a focal point for disparate teams
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development to ensures safety, quality, delivery, and cost effectiveness of our products
  • Safety critical (“Class-A”) software development
  • Identification and classification of the safety criticality of systems
  • Uses technical experience and expertise to contribute to data analysis and improve existing legacy solutions while contributing to the development of new ones
  • Assist leading projects with impact at multiple shops
  • Influence technical topics related to engineering software in our assembly shops
  • Aid team members in collaboration with equipment manufacturers, process, quality, technical, and manufacturing personnel
  • Some domestic and international travel required
