About The Position

As a Digital Formatting Specialist, you will be an integral part of our production team, working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your role will involve supporting the printing and distribution of high school and college announcements, diplomas, and diploma covers, celebrating significant achievements. You will create and update output files for offset and digital printing using InDesign and Acrobat Pro. Your tasks will include completing the order process for all fine paper product lines, monitoring template consistency, and correcting exceptions. Attention to detail and balancing priorities are crucial for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro).
  • Ability to interpret job tickets and manufacturing specifications.
  • Basic math proficiency (fractions, decimals, measurements, percentages).
  • Data entry skills in Excel.
  • Ability to work 50-hour weeks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Outlook and Oracle.
  • Flexibility to work up to 60 hours per week during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Prepress tickets according to standard operating procedures, redirecting issues when found.
  • Utilize tools such as Adobe, Excel, Outlook, Oracle, and other technology to complete work.
  • Participate in proofing and determine root causes of failure points.
  • Communicate within and outside the department to clarify questions and maintain production flow.
  • Work within a team environment to achieve production goals.
  • Maintain accurate production records to aid in production assessment and highlight key learning opportunities.
  • Adopt a team player attitude and assist with other duties as assigned based on business demand.
