About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Digital Infrastructure & AI Tools Intern to be based in Hunt Valley, MD.

This internship supports large‑scale digital infrastructure and technology programs, providing hands‑on experience with technical documentation, delivery workflows, and emerging AI / LLM‑based tools. Interns work alongside engineers and technology advisors on active, real‑world projects.

Requirements

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
• Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

• Interest in digital infrastructure, technology delivery, or applied AI.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
• Comfortable working with technical documents and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing and organizing technical documents for complex infrastructure and technology deployments.
• Support project teams by tracking deliverables, identifying gaps, and maintaining workflow documentation.
• Participate in internal and client meetings to capture notes and action items.
• Assist in the development, testing, and refinement of LLM‑based and AI‑enabled tools used for document review, knowledge management, and process automation.
• Provide feedback on AI tool outputs to improve accuracy and usability.
