About The Position

The Digital Marketing Assistant supports the execution of Chautauqua Institution’s digital email campaigns. This role plays a key operational role in building and deploying marketing communications, maintaining campaign workflows, and ensuring that digital content is accurate, approved, and aligned with institutional standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and familiarity with digital marketing platforms. The Digital Marketing Assistant helps ensure marketing campaigns move efficiently from planning to execution while maintaining high standards for quality and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Experience working with email marketing platforms or marketing automation tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong written communication awareness and editing sensitivity
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy marketing emails using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Manage segmentation, scheduling, and distribution of email campaigns.
  • Build and maintain automated email journeys and lifecycle communication workflows.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks including formatting, links, personalization fields, and rendering prior to distribution.
  • Manage the email approval process and ensure communications move through required review and editing steps before distribution.
  • Track digital marketing requests and ensure necessary approvals have been obtained from stakeholders.
  • Maintain campaign schedules and documentation related to email and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Incorporate copy edits and approved messaging into email communications and digital assets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather content and confirm messaging approvals.
  • Ensure content aligns with Chautauqua’s editorial standards and style guide.
  • Assist with updates to website content and digital marketing assets as directed by the Marketing Manager.
  • Support social media scheduling and coordination as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of campaign materials and digital assets.
