Job Description: The Wealth Management Content Marketing Manager is responsible for leading content strategy, planning, creation and execution for all Wealth Management business lines serving mass affluent and affluent to high net worth market segments.
The content marketing manager will work directly with the Wealth Management, Private Wealth Management and Content Marketing VPs to create educational, thought provoking integrated wealth management content, focused on key digital channels to drive prospect and customer interest. Content development and execution will also include traditional channels such as print. The content marketing manager will manage multiple content projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and should possess an ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
This position reports to the VP, Integrated Marketing and works closely with WM Marketing and Product Content partners, as well as Digital, Social and Email Marketing teams across U.S. Bancorp.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with VP Marketing to develop content strategies that aligns with the business strategy and priorities of Wealth Management Metro, Wealth Management Community and Private Wealth Management
- Collaborates with WM & PWM team members to develop thought leadership content in both digital and print formats tailored to the wealth audiences
- Exhibits creativity, leadership skills and writing ability, to produce, edit, proof and publish content
- Possesses deep knowledge of digital marketing strategy including content development and distribution
- Develop program objectives, targets, tactics, and metrics and define best practices, standards, and processes
- Coordinates content development with wealth management.com site to ensure site content is consistent and complimentary
- Creates distribution plan for content (internal and external), partnering with PR, Social and agencies as needed (email, native, SEO, SEM etc)
- Creates and maintains overarching Wealth Management editorial calendar and coordinates with Enterprise-wide editorial calendar
- Works with analytics team to analyze content performance, report results to LOB, and optimize content and distribution plan
- Ensures the consistent and successful implementation of centralized content at strategic market level
- Supports managers in achieving promotion goals by developing and implementing external content strategies
- Acts as a liaison for their respective markets or line of business with internal departments such as Wealth Management and Corporate Digital, CRM, Content development and Communications teams
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience; Masters preferred
- 8-10 yearsâ experience in Marketing, including developing and executing strategic content marketing plans
- 8-10 yearsâ Financial Services experience, ideally in Wealth Management or related functions
- Extensive digital marketing content management experience and be well versed in program objectives, targets, tactics, and metrics
- Excellent written & oral communication skills, including presentation skills, at both detailed and executive levels
- Extensive experience managing multifaceted, complex, editorial calendars
- Ability to collaborate with all leadership levels on strategies and communication
- Strong cross-functional expertise and the ability to thrive in a highly complex environment
- Strategic and analytical expertise and critical decision-making skill
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and team building skills, including project management and negotiation skills required
