Digital Media & Content Marketing Specialist Job Description
This position is responsible for executing an integrated marketing and communications program that promotes awareness of LeasePlan and increases engagement with the brand online and throughout the industry. The Digital Media & Content Marketing Specialist will position LeasePlan as the authoritative fleet expert and the top-of-mind resource for vehicle management and mobility services.
Major functions of this role include writing and managing blog content and increasing online engagement through social media tactics. Additionally, this role is responsible for a public relations aspect of managing the speaker and webinar platform, editorial submissions, press releases and special projects.
This employee is also expected to develop content for marketing campaigns that engage the reader, generate leads and create new business opportunities.
Manage Wordpress blog platform and content distribution
* Plan a rich editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned content, such as blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, reports, webinars, infographics, etc.
* Grow blog subscribers, converting visitors into leads through calls-to-action, forms and landing pages, and expanding our blog's overall reach
* Write articles on a wide range of fleet topics and work with other contributors, such as product experts and leadership team members, to procure and edit additional contributions
* Enhance blog and resource content with keywords, following best practices for SEO
* Conduct analytical reviews to monitor performance and improve blog strategies/tactics
* Establish closed-loop analytics to understand how inbound marketing activity contributes to qualified sales leads and opportunities
* Manage weekly email program and subscription list using Pardot
Increase online engagement through social channels
* Manage social media networks to increase brand awareness, engagement and leads while contributing to search engine optimization
* Promote blog articles and other content using social media networks
* Continually evaluate social strategy and develop plans to improve strategies/tactics
Contribute to content creation
* Contribute to additional educational content projects, such as ebooks, white papers, position sheets, infographics, and videos to further engage with the audience
* Assure content is distributed through all available channels and marketing campaigns
Execute public relations activities
* Assist with planning and development of annual PR and communication strategy
* Write and place press releases, editorial articles and communications to promote new products, services, client successes, new business strategies and key happenings
* Manage LeasePlans speaker platform and webinar program designed to generate leads and promote LeasePlan as a go-to partner
* Increase editorial exposure by identifying interview opportunities for LeasePlan personnel
* Support subject matter experts with talking points, speech preparation, presentations and handouts
* Manage and execute client newsletters, including weekly and quarterly newsletters, time-critical communications and new product/service announcements
* Manage the case study and testimonial program to demonstrate LeasePlans capabilities and client satisfaction to prospective clients as well as the industry
* Apply for business-driven service awards in order to create brand awareness
* Develop and maintain the talk track for building tours and perform tours as needed
* Regularly measure and report results of PR, editorial, social media and brand awareness initiatives to sales and marketing management
* Develop working relationships with all areas of the company to identify news and stay up-to-date on key happenings within the organization
* Initiate consistent dialogue with industry publications and media groups to develop relationships and identify PR and communication opportunities
Brand awareness and support
* Leverage research and competitive intel to position LeasePlan as preferred provider for fleet services
* Serve as a brand ambassador to ensure all material consistently portrays the LeasePlan brand promise, identity and positioning
* Ensure LeasePlan key messages and brand are represented in the best light and in accordance with the brand guidelines
* Identify new and better ways to manage each essential job function
* Support the marketing, sales and client relations management teams with other key initiatives as needed
* Communicate with co-workers, team members, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
* Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
* Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance.
* Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.
Education: Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related area preferred
Experience: One to three years experience in communication, public relations and/or marketing. Fleet industry experience is a plus but not required.

Candidate must:
* show above average writing skills; experience with AP Style a plus
* be able to conceptualize new ideas with the customer in mind
* be able to leverage and effectively utilize resources throughout the organization
* be able to manage partners and vendors to achieve desired results
* show technical proficiency with above-average skill in all Microsoft Office programs
* have experience with InDesign or desktop publishing and an eye for page layout
* understand how all marketing programs work in conjunction to achieve results
* have experience creating content for digital marketing programs, such as blogs and email campaigns
* understand social media concepts and have some experience with social media, such as LinkedIn
* experience with marketing and sales automation, such as Pardot and Salesforce.com, is a plus
* have above-average organizational, communication and project management skills
* be an energetic outside-the-box thinker, with ability to complete unsupervised work
