Pay Range: $16.80 - $23.10 All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time. Position Summary We’re looking for a curious and motivated Digital Marketing Intern to join our team this summer. As part of the Optimization team, you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple channels – paid search (SEM), organic search (SEO), social media, and programmatic display – while contributing to a strategic project focused on implementing AI-driven automation. You’ll join a collaborative, innovative team that values curiosity and continuous learning – an ideal environment to learn, grow, and make an impact. Pay Rate: $18.00 an hour What You’ll Learn Hands-on experience with AI-driven marketing automation. How to manage and optimize campaigns across SEM, SEO, social media, and programmatic display. How data and analytics inform optimization decisions across channels.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program (Marketing, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field).
  • Passionate about AI-driven innovation and automation opportunities in digital marketing.
  • Interest in digital marketing channels and optimization strategies.
  • Completed (at minimum) sophomore year of college.
  • Full-time availability during the internship.
  • This is an on-site internship based in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN (3 days per week in office).

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or exposure to digital marketing concepts (SEM, SEO, social media, programmatic display).
  • Experience with tools like Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SEMRush, or Screaming Frog is a plus, but not required.
  • Comfortable with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Eager to learn and collaborate with others.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to doing great work.

Responsibilities

  • Search Engine Marketing (SEM): Help launch and monitor paid search campaigns.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Conduct keyword research and optimize content to strengthen organic search performance.
  • Social Media: Draft and schedule posts to engage audiences.
  • Programmatic Display: Assist with setting up and tracking programmatic display campaigns.
  • Cross-Channel Analytics: Learn how data informs optimization decisions across platforms.
  • Join team meetings and provide updates on your progress.
  • Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing your internship contributions.
  • Develop communication skills through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Your core project will focus on implementing AI capabilities across digital marketing channels, a strategic initiative that supports Bio-Techne’s commitment to innovation and efficiency. This project will explore automation opportunities for campaign setup, performance monitoring, and reporting.
  • By gaining hands-on experience with the channel-specific tactical work outlined above, you’ll develop the insight needed to identify where AI-driven automation can streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance campaign performance.
