About The Position

The Digital Press Operator I on the 2nd shift plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining digital printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. This position ensures that production schedules are met while adhering to strict quality standards and safety protocols. The operator will be responsible for setting up the press, monitoring print runs, and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance. Collaboration with quality control and maintenance teams is essential to troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of basic understanding of digital printing technology and press operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
  • Willingness to work the 2nd shift schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating digital printing presses in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with color management and print quality control techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate digital printing presses according to job specifications and production schedules.
  • Monitor press operations continuously to ensure print quality and consistency throughout the run.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prevent malfunctions and extend machine life.
  • Inspect printed materials for defects and make necessary adjustments to color, alignment, and registration.
  • Document production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and quality issues, and communicate with supervisors.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to resolve technical problems promptly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
