• Requires excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Must have proficient knowledge of using English and Metric Systems of measurement
• Good mathematical skills.
• Ability to analyze and problem solve.
• Must be able to communicate on all levels.
• Superior attention to detail and precision skills required.
• Ability to document and coordinate corrective measures.
• High School Diploma / GED.
• Some previous work experience may be required for this position.
• English grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills required
• Work experience.2 years’ work experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

• Examines castings for conformity to design/drafting standards.
• Performs all work according to written work procedures, and verbal and written instruction.
• Dimensionally examines castings, fixtures, gauges and hand tools and measuring equipment necessary.
• Verify that all devices, requiring calibration and measurement, meet the required criteria.
• Performs visual inspection of parts and equipment to ensure conformance to quality standards and to identify non-conformance where it occurs.
• Records quantity of material approved and rejected on route cards.
• Determine what actions to take when problems occur and know where to find the resources.
