About The Position

Dimensional Quality Inspector — Precision Machining Join a precision manufacturing team in the Downers Grove area where accuracy and craftsmanship define every part we ship. As a Dimensional Quality Inspector, you will be the last line of defense for product integrity, performing both in-process and final checks on precision machined components to ensure they meet demanding customer and industry standards. A day in the role You arrive at our clean, climate-controlled facility and head to the line you support. With micrometers, calipers, height gages, and dial indicators at the ready, you verify critical dimensions and surface finishes against engineering drawings and inspection criteria. You translate GD&T callouts into practical measurements, compare results to specifications, and record your findings with care. When a dimension drifts or a finish looks off, you collaborate with operators and supervisors in real time—sharing clear, actionable feedback so production can adjust quickly. You’ll document inspection results, nonconformances, and test data per established quality procedures, keeping records accurate and traceable. Between inspections, you help maintain gage calibration status and inspection logs, and you uphold cleanliness and documentation standards across the work area.
