DEFINITION The Shell Room Robot Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring robotic systems used in the shell-building process for investment casting. This role ensures the consistent application of ceramic slurry and stucco layers on wax patterns, maintaining quality standards and production efficiency. Operate robotic shell-building equipment to apply slurry and stucco coatings on wax patterns. Load and unload wax patterns onto robotic arms and conveyors according to production schedules. Monitor robotic operations to ensure proper coating thickness, coverage, and drying times. Perform routine checks and adjustments on robotic systems to maintain optimal performance. Inspect shells for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. Maintain accurate production records and report any equipment malfunctions or process deviations. Assist in troubleshooting and minor maintenance of robotic equipment. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams for process improvements. Perform autoclave de-waxing operations. Ensure proper execution of policies and procedures within areas of responsibility. Must have good attendance and be reliable. All other duties as assigned.
