Position Summary: Maintains clinical oversight of mental health professionals ensuring optimum performance while delivering high quality services. The position develops and implements clinical programming across the facility using evidenced-based practices and culturally appropriate approaches that are strength-based. The Clinical Director is expected to facilitate supervision using a team-based philosophy and is a key member of the management team maximizing facility effectiveness and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong assessment and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain patient records and confidentiality
  • Excellent understanding of professional boundaries/relationships with staff and patients
  • Excellent clinical and didactic skills and understanding of group dynamics
  • Must understand the needs of patients aged 3 through 18
  • Demonstrated ability to work on cross functional teams
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LMSW, LCSW or LPC.
  • EDUCATION: Master's degree in Social Work, Masters Degree in Counseling or Psychology

Responsibilities

  • Overall direction and responsibility for the clinical programs – Military
  • Ensures that clinical programs meet or exceed agency, license, and organizational standards.
  • Identifies, facilitates, and monitors clinical program operations that are culturally diverse.
  • Overall direction and responsibility for supervision of clinical staff.
  • Effectively represents the hospital within the community, with professional organizations, consumers and payers.
  • Ensures that quality and appropriateness of programs are reviewed and corrected as needed on a regular basis.
  • Maintains staff performance evaluations and performance improvement activities.
  • Ensures that Policies and Procedures are implemented in an accurate and expedient manner.
  • Engages in interviews, hiring process, performance appraisals and constructive discipline as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
