About the position

AMC Networks is seeking a systems-minded and execution-driven Director, Marketing Operations & Project Management to lead the planning, production, and delivery of marketing assets across our distribution partners. This role is essential in designing scalable asset operation workflows, optimizing cross-functional systems, and ensuring flawless campaign execution. You will serve as both architect and operator: building the infrastructure that enables efficient communication and asset delivery across internal teams and external partners, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations that ensure everything runs on time, on spec, and with business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the operational systems that support communication and execution across the entire Marketing organization, AMC Networks cross-functional teams, and external agencies, vendors, and contractors
  • Own and optimize platforms including Airtable, Teams, SharePoint, Creative Hub, and the external Partner Hub, where partners self-serve assets to reduce intake demand
  • Ensure tools and workflows are clearly structured, scalable, and adaptable to the needs of different users and functions
  • Implement and continually evaluate AI tools and automations that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase team capacity for strategic projects
  • Maintain centralized documentation and operational playbooks to ensure consistency and transparency
  • Manage the intake, prioritization, and execution of asset requests across static, video, and design formats
  • Collaborate closely with Production Managers, Designers, Editors, and Creative stakeholders to coordinate asset development and delivery
  • Ensure all assets meet branding, technical, and platform-specific requirements, tailored to each distribution partner
  • Track timelines and resource allocation, proactively resolving bottlenecks and flagging potential delays
  • Maintain detailed tracking systems that provide visibility across campaign progress, asset versions, and delivery timelines
  • Work closely with Partner Marketing, internal Media, external Media agency, Production, and Creative teams to align workflows and shared priorities
  • Coordinate across functions to ensure all stakeholders are informed, aligned, and equipped to execute effectively
  • Serve as the key liaison between internal and external teams, connecting the dots across campaign touchpoints and dependencies
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and vendors as needed to ensure contracts and deliverables are tracked and executed smoothly
  • Establish campaign-level feedback loops to track what worked, what didn't, and how to improve
  • Maintain and evolve a centralized knowledge base of partner nuances, platform specs, and historical learnings
  • Identify opportunities to refine processes, eliminate duplication, and drive greater efficiency over time
  • Translate campaign performance and operational insights into system and process improvements
  • Manage and mentor a team of Coordinators and Project Managers, setting clear goals and development plans
  • Guide your team in executing high-volume, high-impact marketing campaigns with precision and consistency
  • Provide hands-on support for complex or high-priority initiatives while enabling the team to manage day-to-day delivery
  • Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, or creative production
  • Expertise in workflow and asset management tools including Airtable, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and digital production platforms
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools that enhance operational efficiency
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including experience working with external agencies and distribution partners
  • Highly organized, systems-minded, and able to lead both strategic planning and day-to-day execution
  • Excellent communicator and people manager

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification preferred
  • NYC-based preferred, but open to remote candidates
