Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • Will be assigned to travel/float to and support the program needs of a specific geographical region.
  • Rovers working in specialty programs will require no less than 1 year of experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or Mental Illness (MI), including those with intensive behavioral support needs, is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable supporting individuals who may display behaviors such as hitting, kicking, biting, or elopement, and able to implement established behavioral support and safety protocols.
  • Valid State of Michigan driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to pass background checks as applicable
  • Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
  • Possess basic computer skills
