Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
Will be assigned to travel/float to and support the program needs of a specific geographical region.
Rovers working in specialty programs will require no less than 1 year of experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or Mental Illness (MI), including those with intensive behavioral support needs, is preferred.
Must be comfortable supporting individuals who may display behaviors such as hitting, kicking, biting, or elopement, and able to implement established behavioral support and safety protocols.
Valid State of Michigan driver’s license required
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to pass background checks as applicable
Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
Possess basic computer skills
