About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a high-care individual with behavioral and personal care needs in a residential setting. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, confident, and comfortable providing hands-on support while following behavior support and safety plans. This is a long shift, high-impact role, and consistency is critical. The right candidate understands the importance of routine, calm support, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to perform physical tasks.
• Comfortable working with individuals who have significant behavioral and support needs
• Ability to remain patient, calm, and consistent
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (if transporting)
• Must pass background checks and required screenings

Nice To Haves

• DSP, CNA, RBT, behavioral health, or similar experience
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with behavior support plans (BSPs), de-escalation techniques, or ABA-informed care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care, including assistance with hygiene, toileting, dressing, and daily living activities
• Implement behavior support strategies as outlined in individualized support plans
• Maintain close supervision to ensure safety at all times
• Support emotional regulation using approved coping strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Assist with meals, hydration monitoring, and medication administration (per training and certification)
• Participate in community activities and transportation as appropriate
• Accurately complete shift documentation and incident reports
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Maintain a calm, professional demeanor during high-stress situations
