The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Direct Support Professional - House Manager who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community. Schedule: Fri 2pm-Monday 9am Evening (6PM to 6 AM) and Weekend (6 AM to 6 PM) earn additional $2 per hour. What you will be doing? The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for the implementation of the client’s Individualized Strategies, under the direction of a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional. The DSP demonstrates this through daily documentation of service provided including but not limited to recreation, leisure, and activities of daily living for each client to whom they are responsible. The DSP will assure client rights, dignity, and privacy, while maintaining a clean and safe environment. The DSP may work with clients with maladaptive behaviors, which can include but are not limited to verbal aggression, physical aggression, self-injurious behavior, property destruction, and elopement. The DSP may also work with clients who require intensive care including but not limited to toileting and bathing, special diets with personal and/or enteral feeding, and enhanced funding. The House Manager must be knowledgeable about and maintain all applicable program and agency regulations; must be able to correct situations below standards including physical environment, programming, and staff approach and actions. The House Manager will function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team of the individuals supported and must be able to work across any site assigned. Responsible for day-to-day operation of the site: ensuring excellent service delivery, monitoring Home and Community Based Settings Rule compliance, administrative duties, and emergency response to physical environment, medical, behavioral, or other needs identified.
