Sign On Bonus-up to $1,000 Day Shifts, Evening Shifts, and Weekend Shifts Available New Hiring Rate: $20.00 Several locations throughout Madison County areas, including Oneida, NY; Canastota, NY; Chittenango, NY SUMMARY: The Direct Support Professional provides self-care training and assistance in daily living to individuals with developmental disabilities residing in a group home setting. About the ARC’S Residence Program: In the residential program, the most caring people are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid NYS driver's license and 12 months driving history.
Nice To Haves
- Six months to one-year related experience and or training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides individualized care as outlined in the individuals Life Plan, or ISP.
- Assists Individuals in the primary activities of daily living (toileting, feeding, cooking, cleaning) as outlined in individual's ISP to promote independence.
- Maintains files and produces service notes and documentation on assigned caseload.
- Documents and submits reports to the program as outlined in the assigned department.
- Maximized consumer's social skills in order to enable him/her to live in their community by providing activities in a community setting.
