About The Position
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS GROUP HOME- OPWDD RESIDENTIAL SERVICES - Amityville, NY Catholic Charities of Long Island models the love of Jesus by offering dignified and compassionate care to poor and vulnerable neighbors of every faith and background. In-person service at more than 50 sites throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties is inspired by the Gospel call affirming the sacredness of every human life. CCLI is looking for Direct Service Professionals with generous hearts and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope” to our developmentally disabled group home residents.
Requirements
- A HS diploma/GED
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Transport/safeguard residents on outings
- Coach residents in skills development & administer medications
- Provide person-centered care including personal care as needed
- Perform household maintenance tasks, including meal preparation
- Other duties as assigned
