Our mission is to advocate for and provide support and services to people with developmental and other disabilities, emphasizing choice and full community engagement. The Direct Support Professional provides self-care training and assistance in daily living to individuals with developmental disabilities residing in a group home setting. About the ARC’S Residence Program : In the residential program, the most caring people are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Observe, document, and communicate pertinent information such as behaviors, nursing, nutrition, clinical issues, etc., to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals and to ensure care for individuals.
- Administer medications as prescribed by Physician, per regulations.
