Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business related field is required.
Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in administrative, technical or clinical operations.
Experience working in a matrixed environment with many stakeholders and strong governance.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing large teams.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with ability for building and maintaining team morale.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred.
CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll accounting, and fixed assets
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, non-po invoices and schedules
Maintain and manage the monthly close calendar
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
Responds timely and efficiently to internal and external communications both verbally and written through memos or e-mail
Develop and document accounting policies and procedures
Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements and automation
Lead and mentor accounting staff
Promote a collaborative and accountable team culture
Conduct performance evaluations and support training
Support internal and external audit processes
Performs all other duties as assigned
