For over 60 years, St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services (SVSNS) has been a trusted provider of specialized services for children and adults with multiple developmental disabilities and complex medical needs, such as cerebral palsy, acute brain injury, neuromuscular disorders and autism spectrum disorders. Each year, more than 400 children, adults and their families receive services from the organization.
Job Summary:
Oversee the operations of the Adult Day Center and Group Homes as well as supervision and leadership to ensure that services provided meet with current best professional practices and adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements while ensuring that people receiving services are treated with the highest degree of dignity and respect.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5 years related supervisory and leadership experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement targeted outreach, relationship-building, and referral strategies to increase census within a special needs’ population, ensuring services are aligned with individual care requirements and community demand.
• Identifies health, education and psycho-social needs of older individuals in the community and develops programs, projects, and activities based on assessed needs.
• Develops and implements ongoing quality improvement activities; ensures operational compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
• Ensures that services provided are centered around individual needs and preferences; Recommends appropriate staffing patterns and physical plant needs necessary to meet the needs of persons served.
• Ensures that direct support staff are receiving effective operational supervision and support; provides effective supervision and leadership and evaluates departmental and individual performance and productivity while managing resources to ensure efficient and effective operations.
