We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Employee Benefits Strategy to join our People Team organization. This role is located in New York. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, or related field required.
  • 10 + years progressive experience in HR, Benefits, or Total Rewards, with at least 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Demonstrated success in benefits strategy, plan design, and financial modeling with working knowledge of actuarial concepts.
  • Strong program management discipline including OKRs, governance, sequencing, and dependency management.
  • Executive communication acumen with ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, actionable narratives and materials.
  • Analytical strength with advanced Excel/Sheets skills and experience with analytics/BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); comfortable with HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations and plan governance practices ensuring risk and compliance fluency.
  • People leadership skills with ability to lead matrixed teams and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Head of Global Benefits in defining benefits philosophy and multi-year roadmap.
  • Translate executive goals into clear OKRs, annual plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance to forecast cost trends, set budgets, optimize plan design, and assess ROI of wellbeing programs.
  • Evaluate offerings against peer set and labor market trends; propose enhancements balancing employee value with financial sustainability.
  • Build performance scorecards, dashboards, and analytics to inform trade-offs, investments, and course-corrections.
  • Prepare executive briefings, narratives, dashboards, and materials; partner with Corporate Communications on employee campaigns and updates.
  • Lead change management and adoption plans including communications, training, and manager enablement.
  • Improve employee experience by enhancing benefits communications, navigation, and support through digital tools and guided journeys.
  • Connect leaders across Finance, Legal, Risk, Procurement, Technology, and People functions to accelerate decisions and resolve issues.
  • Model continuous improvement, collaboration, clarity, accountability, and transparency across teams.
