About the role: eBay is seeking a highly strategic and visionary executive to serve as the Director of Brand Marketing for eBay Live . This is a mission-critical role responsible for defining the multi-year brand and go-to-market strategy that positions eBay as a leader in the global Live Shopping ecosystem. You will drive both brand equity and significant business P&L impact across high-value verticals, including Collectibles, Fashion, Luxury, and more. You’d lead a team focused on building awareness, adoption, and loyalty for eBay Live, and you’d work cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Category, Creator, and Comms teams to bring live shopping experiences to life. This role is really the connective tissue between our strategic business goals, our product roadmap, and how we show up to buyers, sellers, and creators.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of brand and/or growth marketing experience , including direct expertise in live shopping, livestream commerce, or interactive retail platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in defining multi-year strategic visions and translating them into tangible, measurable business results across diverse business units.
  • Proven ability to develop and scale highly effective paid media strategies in an ambiguous, fast paced, and competitive digital environment.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a proven track record of building, mentoring and leading cross-functional teams in a complex global organization.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior in live shopping contexts and how to engage diverse communities.
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
  • A bias for action, continuous experimentation, and a passion for shaping the future of commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Global Brand Strategy: Define, own, and continually refine the multi-year brand narrative and positioning for eBay Live, ensuring strategic alignment across all verticals and with eBay’s overarching goals.
  • Lead Integrated Marketing Execution: Architect and oversee the execution of full-funnel integrated marketing campaigns (awareness through conversion) across all paid, owned, and earned channels, driving significant business impact.
  • Drive Strategic P&L & Budget Management: Manage and optimize a substantial marketing budget, using a rigorous test-and-learn framework to identify and scale high-performing, high-ROI paid media strategies.
  • Forge Executive Cross-Functional Partnerships: Act as a key influencer with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Research, and Category Management to align roadmaps and deliver a unified customer journey.
  • Elevate Audience & Creator Strategy: Define the target audience segments and lead the strategy for cultivating high-value relationships with key creators, influencers, and strategic partners to expand reach and community engagement at scale.
  • Leverage Advanced Insights: Utilize deep market research, behavioral analytics, and competitive intelligence to inform all strategic decisions and optimize the audience and media mix continually.
