THE ROLE: We are looking for a leader to drive strategic business development for our Enterprise Server business, focused on foundational IT solutions spanning virtualization, containers, database & analytics, storage and ERP solutions. This role will have comprehensive ownership of driving AMD growth across AMD EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPU’s for classic Enterprise IT deployments and next generation Enterprise AI opportunities. This leader will be responsible for the overall strategy, strategic ISV partnerships, competitive positioning and value prop development, and leading our sales and marketing teams to grow pipeline and drive growth. Nice To Haves

  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in a comparable role, owning the success of driving verticals and workloads focused approach
  • Technical Experience: an established background in datacenter business with at least 10 years’ progressive experience in key verticals within and across an organization
  • Customer Experience: strong historical interaction and relationship building within key customers
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred. MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement key strategies to grow AMD’s server business in traditional Enterprise IT workloads such as Virtualization, Database & Analytics and Storage and security.
  • Work with ISVs to drive AMD qualifications and certifications to deliver critical solutions to market.
  • Deepen partnerships with ISV’s, with a focus on establishing joint go-to-market plans to accelerate business growth.
  • Partner with strategic ISV’s to co-develop Enterprise AI platforms with both CPU + GPU powered solutions.
  • Work with Server OEM’s, Server systems channel, and GSI’s, to converge on solutions and help address end customer needs.
  • Enabling Sales with targeted plays, collateral, and training to grow AMD’s server business in manufacturing.
  • Identify customer challenges and translate into a compelling value proposition, ideally from chip-level technology into system level solutions.
  • Develop relationships across the sales teams to identify/build harmonious approach to broadening AMD's business in key accounts.
