About The Position

As a Director, Business Performance Analytics in the Business Information Architecture practice, you will lead complex analyses to quantify insights, identify opportunities, and partner with the business to influence strategic business decisions. You will document current data patterns, capture data & analytic capabilities and formulate target state data and consumption patterns to achieve targeted outcomes for the customer. You will evaluate and assess current processes to identify and recommend modernized solutions and gain consensus across key stakeholders. You will partner across multiple functional areas to consult on business priorities, influence strategic business decisions, ensure optimal outcomes, and optimize value through solution identification aligned with business strategies, and ensure future data direction.

Requirements

  • Five years relevant analytics experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Seven years of data & analytics or related experience working in the P&C industry with knowledge of insurance products and concepts.
  • Ability to effectively operate across functional teams and influence data & analytic outcomes.
  • Two years of team project and/or people management experience.
  • Experience using and building business intelligence tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, Business, or related.
  • Utilization of AI capabilities to improve or enhance practice outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of business functions, operations, analytic functions and/or product of supported business line with the ability to translate insights into business value.
  • Deep understanding of data & analytic processes, data profiling, data quality, data reporting & consumption, and data retrieval.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present data and trends, and recommendations while understanding the impact of the business.
  • Ability to understand business goals and identify best practices to execute and influence others.
  • Awareness and adherence to established data management practices and standards.
  • Strategic analytical and business mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Apply data & analytic and technical skills to conduct Data Profiling, Gap Analysis, Data Visualization and document detailed data and process flow to articulate current state and formulate target state layering in new capabilities.
  • Facilitating discussions with various customers and partners to understand their data & analytic “ability-to’s” that cascade down to sub-capabilities, competencies and ultimately consumption tools.
  • Understand consumption patterns, personas, and partner closely with Technical Architecture function and business capability teams to recommend data solutions.
  • Identify impacted systems and ownership, request estimates and asset attributes that are input to requirements for consumption tools (e.g., Data Products, Self Service, Dashboard).
  • Create milestone plans to manage expectations for Business Information Architecture deliverables.
  • Establish and build relationships across the organization and Value Streams, with our strategic partners and business customers for tighter alignment to business strategies and critical data & analytic capabilities.
  • Ability to influence decisions and priorities by demonstrating business value and alignment to business outcomes.
  • Support an Agile construct, work with cross functional execution teams in consultative role to ensure alignment with recommended solution, adjusting where needed.
  • Partner with Data Strategy Leads and Tech Arch to formulate target state data patterns and capability alignment to deliver the best solution for our customers.
  • Utilize AI capabilities to improve Business Information Architecture engagement model and execution framework.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to simplify or streamline the data flow/process, inclusive of sunsetting assets to reduce technical debit and legacy footprint, aligning to modernized data & analytics ecosystem.
  • Leverage and/or build data and analytics, to influence business strategy to leadership by translating insights into business value.
  • Accountable for business analytics support across multiple initiatives.
  • Use data visualization and storytelling to leverage insights, communicate the business story, and influence solutions to senior leaders.
  • Review and interpret complex data and identify trends to support Health of the Business.
  • Oversee the design and ensures the execution of Proofs of Concepts leveraging various tools and techniques to develop capabilities.
  • Work with and manipulate multi-level dimensional data towards the ultimate design required to meet business requests.
  • Monitor complex business results to determine if desired results are achieved and influence recommendations to management.
  • Leverage creative problem solving and deep technical and business knowledge to answer complex questions from business partners and package in a way to be used across senior leaders.
  • Proactively coordinates with cross functional teams on varying business initiatives.
  • Leverage industry best practices, analytic tools and techniques, market data and technology trends to identify and implement business opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
