About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Director, Client Finance to provide strategic financial leadership for a potential sale with a high‑profile, multi‑region client partnership. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys shaping financial strategy, and excels at partnering with senior stakeholders. You will serve as the senior financial advisor to account leadership, ensuring strong performance management, financial transparency, and disciplined stewardship. This is a highly visible, client‑embedded role with significant influence over financial strategy, operational decision-making, and long-term commercial success. As the Director, Client Finance, you will lead day‑to-day financial operations and financial governance for a major client account. You will guide financial decision‑making, strengthen performance routines, and ensure a seamless financial experience for both Sodexo and the client. You will also lead a small team of finance professionals and collaborate closely with operational and regional leaders. By leveraging predictive analytics and digital tools, you will elevate forecasting accuracy, identify emerging risks and opportunities earlier, and translate leading indicators into clear, actionable insights for operations and client stakeholders. You will help modernize reporting and performance management through automated dashboards, driver-based models, and data visualization, enabling faster decision-making and greater transparency across the account. This is a pivotal role for someone who enjoys building strong partnerships, driving clarity, and leading through periods of growth and transformation. You will champion a data-driven culture, coaching teams to adopt digital ways of working and using analytics to improve margin performance, strengthen governance, and support continuous improvement through change.

Requirements

  • Confident, polished communication skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and client stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead or influence teams in a matrixed environment
  • Experience improving financial processes, strengthening controls, and driving operational excellence
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, multi‑region environment with evolving priorities
  • A collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset and the ability to build trust across finance, operations, and client teams
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial strategy, forecasting, reporting, and performance management for a multi‑region client account
  • Serve as the primary finance partner to account leadership and senior client stakeholders
  • Deliver clear financial insights, variance explanations, and decision‑support recommendations
  • Oversee monthly close, annual planning, billing accuracy, and financial controls
  • Prepare client‑ready materials for governance routines (QBRs, forecasts, performance reviews)
  • Resolve financial issues (billing, pricing, pass‑throughs, change orders) with clarity and professionalism
  • Lead and develop a small team of finance professionals
  • Strengthen processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with contract and internal standards
