Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements in the purchase or sale/delivery of equipment, materials, products or services | Evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations | Requests or approves amendments to contract terms or contract extensions | Prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids Provides leadership to managers and may also have professional staff. Must have at least one manager level direct report Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities Decisions are guided by resource availability and organizational objectives Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees the organization's contract administration function, ensuring that contract negotiation strategies support the overall business strategy.
  • Oversees the negotiation and administration of the organization's contracts.
  • Responsible for the development of standard contract documents, including terms and conditions.
  • Reviews and edits or approves significant or substantial contractual changes.
  • Monitors the work of a team of contract analysts/administrators that prepare, negotiate, review, and revise contracts.
  • Establishes and administers contracting strategies that are meant to improve business performance and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • May assist with pricing, quotations, or proposals for the sale of organizational goods and services.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership.
