About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of customer and vendor contract administration, including day-to-day contractual oversight, closeout, and support for related future proposals and negotiations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred. Specialized certifications completed in contracts, business or other related training.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience, preferably in procurement/contract field. Experience with preparation, contract negotiation, FAR/DFAR, and other US Government procurement regulations. Knowledge of the EAR/ITAR Compliance requirements.
  • Ability to establish relationships with senior acquisition leaders and international clients. Have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to lead a team to accomplish direct tasks and goals. Possess executive level oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for all customer and vendor contract functions, both military and commercial, with a focus on supporting all phases of the contract life cycle from capture to close-out.
  • Prepare, negotiate and assess contracts for the sale of products or services.
  • Establish strategic plans on contractual matters in collaboration with senior management across the business and ensure effective achievement of objectives.
  • Apply risk management and mitigation strategies aligned with corporate objectives to optimize operational performance.
  • Negotiate and examine contract terms and conditions, scope, cost and price of contracts using strong analytical and negotiation expertise.
  • Analyze contract requirements to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with other corporate teams and business units to create, improve, implement and update contract policies and procedures and to ensure effective support to other areas such as accounting and operations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance with the FAR and DFARS and other procurement laws and regulations.
  • Provide leadership, training, management and development of department personnel.
  • Oversee and manage the prompt and efficient processing of customer orders, repairs and shipping of products to ensure the requirements as outlined in the contract documents are performed accurately and completely, and the responsibilities of all parties are properly satisfied.
