About The Position

The Director/CUSO Growth is a revenue driving, relationship led role responsible for accelerating membership growth across orsa credit union’s CUSO portfolio, including Backbone and Room (39)a, as well as future CUSOs launched by the organization. This role blends sales, partnerships, and operational lift. The Director/CUSO Growth owns the end-to-end growth motion: identifying prospects, converting them into members, retaining and expanding relationships, and strengthening the systems, tools, and communications that make growth repeatable. Success is measured by sustainable membership growth, retention, and overall contribution to the long term viability of orsa affiliated CUSOs. The role operates within a performance based compensation structure that rewards hustle, consistency, and long-term impact, aligned to annual membership growth outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • A verifiable track record of success in the areas of corporate giving or community involvement/relations
  • Demonstrated competence in sales, partnerships, business development, and/or growth roles.
  • Enthusiasm for operating in a variable compensation, goal driven environment.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, particularly with executive audiences.
  • High level of personal accountability and follow through.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams across different offerings and audiences.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, presentation software, and basic reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with or selling to credit unions, financial institutions, or fintech partners.
  • Familiarity with selling and/or administering membership-based platforms.
  • Experience supporting early stage or pilot phase products.
  • Comfort building processes where none previously existed.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new member acquisition for Backbone, Room (39)a, and future CUSOs through outbound sales, warm referrals, events, and partnerships.
  • Own the full sales cycle from first conversation through onboarding and renewal.
  • Translate CUSO value propositions into clear, compelling membership stories tailored to credit union leaders of varying asset sizes.
  • Support retention and renewal efforts to ensure long term, high trust relationships.
  • Support the launch and commercialization of new CUSOs by establishing early-stage sales processes, messaging, and go to market motions.
  • Partner with internal leaders to refine pricing, packaging, and positioning as offerings evolve.
  • Drive connectivity between orsa credit union, CUSO leadership, and member credit unions.
  • Build and maintain foundational sales enablement tools, including pitch materials, membership agreements, onboarding resources, and CRM hygiene.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks tied to membership growth, renewals, and reporting.
  • Track progress toward growth goals and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Support and help execute events, demos, briefings, and convenings that drive awareness and membership growth.
  • Collaborate on external communications that reinforce the credibility and momentum of orsa affiliated CUSOs.
  • Represent orsa credit union and its CUSOs in a professional relationship first manner across the credit union ecosystem.
  • Operate with a builder mindset, balancing urgency with care.
  • Work collaboratively across innovation, insights, marketing, and leadership teams.
