About The Position

The Director of Employee Experience and Change Communications will define and execute a US associate engagement strategy in alignment with regional objectives and global priorities while fostering a culture of transparency, engagement, and inclusion. This role leads initiatives to enhance the employee experience and drive change management programs that support organizational transformation and business priorities. Sandoz continues to go through an exciting and transformative period as a global leader and pioneering provider of sustainable Biosimilar and Generic medicines. Position Location: This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site. Our Sandoz flexible hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workday remotely. This role will not have the ability to be located remotely. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, HR, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in internal communications, employee engagement, or related roles. Proven track record in leading change management initiatives. Experience in a global or matrixed organization preferred. Experience working with intranet platforms and contributing to their ongoing development and maintenance.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and storytelling skills. Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities. High agility and resilience in dynamic environments. Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Excellent writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, engaging, and business‑aligned content. Comfortable creating and managing editorial calendars, ensuring consistent and timely content production. Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Ability to manage people and/or external vendors, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and smooth collaboration.
  • Strategic Engagement Design. Ability to translate enterprise strategy into clear, motivating engagement frameworks that help associates understand what we’re doing, why it matters, and what it means for them.
  • Executive & Leader Activation. Proven capability to equip senior leaders and people managers with narratives, tools, and moments that drive authentic, consistent engagement across the organization.
  • Listening & Insight Generation. Expertise in designing and interpreting pulse surveys, feedback loops, and qualitative insights to identify engagement drivers, gaps, and opportunities—and close the loop visibly.
  • Integrated Channel & Experience Management. Ability to orchestrate engagement across channels (town halls, digital platforms, manager cascades, live moments) to deliver a cohesive, high‑impact associate experience.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement. Strong command of engagement metrics and KPIs, using data to refine approaches, demonstrate impact, and continuously improve engagement outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement an associate communications strategy that aligns with business goals and cultural priorities. Partner with senior leadership to ensure consistent messaging and engagement across all levels of the organization
  • Employee Experience: Design and deliver programs that enhance employee engagement, belonging, and overall experience. Leverage insights from employee surveys (e.g., Our Voice, post event surveys) to inform initiatives and measure impact.
  • Change Management: Lead communication strategies for organizational changes, ensuring clarity, empathy, and alignment with transformation objectives Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on change readiness and stakeholder engagement.
  • Content & Channels: Oversee the creation of compelling content for multiple channels (intranet, newsletters, town halls, video, etc.). Ensure messaging reflects company values, advances inclusion, and resonates with our broad and talented associates.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Define KPIs for communication effectiveness and employee experience programs. Use data and feedback to continuously improve strategies and execution.

  • The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $166,000 - $308,400 USD/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period.
  • Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
