Job Summary: The Director, Engineering will lead our DevSecOps practice and drive the design, delivery, and security of our software platforms. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity. They will lead a team of engineers, set technical direction, and partner closely with product, platform, and security teams to ensure our systems are scalable, resilient, and secure by default. Job Description: Technical & Engineering Leadership Serve as a hands-on technical leader, actively participating in architecture design, code reviews, and complex problem resolution Lead the design and development of secure, scalable, and highly available software systems Establish engineering standards and best practices for DevSecOps, including coding standards, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, testing strategies (e.g. unit, integration, performance) and observability Drive adoption of cloud-native and modern software development patterns Platform, CI/CD & Operations Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery Lead infrastructure as code efforts using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation Improve system reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and SRE practices Champion automation to reduce manual processes and operational risk Team Leadership & Delivery Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software development engineers Plan and execute roadmaps, balancing feature delivery, platform improvements, and security initiatives Promote agile development practices and continuous improvement Act as a technical escalation point/decision-maker for complex engineering challenges Integration Modernization Strategy Assess the current application integration landscape and define a target-state architecture (e.g., API-first, microservices, middleware platforms) Own and oversee the redesign and modernization of legacy integrations to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Partner with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize and execute integration initiatives aligned to enterprise goals. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with product management to translate business requirements into secure technical solutions Collaborate with cloud, data, security, compliance, and operations teams Communicate technical decisions and risks clearly to engineering and non-technical stakeholders Embed security controls and automation throughout the SDLC (secure coding, SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, secrets management) Ensure standards are practical, scalable and consistently applied across teams Additional Job Description: Experience leading DevSecOps or platform engineering teams with 3+ years in a technical leadership role Strong proficiency in one or more development languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js) Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g. version control – Git, Agile/Scrum, Jira, etc..) Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and distributed systems Experience designing and securing APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts (IAM, network security, secrets management) Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS, OWASP) Experience supporting audits or compliance initiatives Excellent leadership, written, communication and interpersonal skills Pay Range: $160,500.00 - $240,800.00 The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors. Requirements

  • Experience leading DevSecOps or platform engineering teams with 3+ years in a technical leadership role
  • Strong proficiency in one or more development languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js)
