Job Description MANAGER/SOLUTION ARCHITECT Rockwell Automation’s Digital Business unit provides professional services dedicated to helping clients discover, create, make, and sell better products with digital. The Digital Business Unit of Rockwell Automation is seeking exceptional candidates who are looking for an exciting career as a DIRECTOR for our Retail, Footwear, and Apparel (RFA) and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry verticals. The Director role is a strategic leader and practitioner. You will own the technology vision for a portfolio of major retail and CPG clients, translate business imperatives into cohesive digital strategies, and lead teams to execute against that vision. This highly visible, client-facing role combines enterprise architecture, solution design, organizational leadership, and business development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or computer science; MBA or advanced certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel internationally/domestically (up to 50–70%).
  • 15+ years in enterprise technology consulting/delivery, with significant retail/CPG experience.
  • Proven success leading multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale digital transformation programs.
  • Expertise in PLM (e.g., PTC Windchill), e-commerce, supply chain systems, CRM, analytics, IoT.
  • Strong understanding of solution architecture, integration patterns, and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PLM, ALM, and other RFA oriented toolsets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or computer science; MBA or advanced certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define technology strategy for retail/CPG clients; anticipate market shifts; create digital transformation roadmaps (e-commerce, PLM, supply chain automation, CRM, analytics, IoT).
  • Client Partnership: Build trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders; influence business processes and data practices; identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Solution Oversight: Own end-to-end design of complex enterprise solutions; ensure usability, scalability, and compliance; approve high-level architectures and specifications.
  • Delivery Excellence: Drive disciplined planning and execution; manage risk and issues at a portfolio level; ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Organizational Leadership: Build and mentor a distributed team of managers, architects, and specialists; foster an inclusive, growth-oriented culture.
  • Business Development: Support pre-sales, proposals, demos, and thought leadership; grow accounts in retail/CPG segments.
  • Operational Stewardship: Manage budgets, compliance, and resource planning; uphold standards for security, privacy, and ethics.
