About The Position

Babylist is hiring a Director of Experiential Marketing & Showroom Expansion, a visionary leader who will shape how our brand shows up in real life. From jumping into our LA showroom's current projects—pop-ups, partner moments, and more—to leading the charge on our new NYC location, you'll craft standout experiences that captivate expecting families and make the Babylist brand unforgettable. We're opening a new showroom in NYC in 2026, and you'll be the driving force behind its launch, taking a well-underway space and making it a dynamic, can't-miss destination for expecting families and culture in New York. You'll lead with creativity and strategy, balancing blue-sky thinking with flawless execution. Whether you're crafting immersive brand moments, building out a rolling activation calendar, or collaborating with our Partnerships team to spotlight brands in new and elevated ways, you'll keep the big picture in focus and the details dialed. This role is made for someone who thrives on autonomy, communicates clearly and confidently, and knows how to turn ambitious ideas into real-world magic. You'll wrangle big ideas from passionate voices and make smart, strategic calls that shape the future of Babylist IRL. This role is NY-based. You'll be expected to be present in the NY showroom at least once per week, and should plan to travel to our LA showroom approximately quarterly. This role reports to the VP of Brand.

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience in experiential marketing for consumer brands
  • You have proven experience running a physical, open experiential space, ideally a retail store, showroom, or brand environment with ongoing day-to-day operations
  • You’re constantly seeking creative ideas and inspiration, and are also equally strategic and executionally driven.
  • You can collaborate with a diverse group of creative thinkers, distill a range of perspectives into clear strategic direction, and communicate decisions with clarity and purpose.
  • You have experience working across a variety of budgets and scale (both intimate experiences with 10-15 influencers and much larger brand activations with 250+ guests)
  • Deep understanding of the Babylist brand and how we can elevate and evolve our IRL expression
  • You are passionate about measuring the impact of brand experiences and how they contribute to a brand’s overall goals.
  • You have experience collaborating with sales or partnerships teams that have revenue-generating goals.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the launch of our New York showroom, overseeing everything from vendor coordination to brand experience execution—and making it a dynamic, living space from day one
  • Develop, lead, and execute key IRL brand moments both inside and outside of Babylist LA & NY Showrooms—including, but not limited to, brand pop-ups and activations, events, and new influencer activations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, retail, and operations teams to bring the NY showroom to life, ensuring the space delivers on brand vision, customer experience, and business goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of an open, ongoing experiential space, keeping programming fresh, the experience elevated, and the energy high
  • Identify and manage external partners (contractors, agencies), keeping in mind Babylist budget and priorities.
  • Develop and manage complex budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Oversee event production and manage contractor or freelance support as needed
  • Measure the impact of brand events and activations—recapping performance, insights, and learnings for executive leadership
