Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) drives dramatic improvements in the health of New Yorkers by feeding people who are hungry, healing families broken apart by violence, and bridging the gaps between people and the compassionate health care they deserve. CHASI serves the most vulnerable individuals, families, and communities with critical services and programs. CHASI provides outreach, education, prevention, and direct support services for populations most affected by health disparities – the poor and working poor, low-income people with chronic illnesses, persons with criminal justice involvement, substance users, domestic violence survivors, people of color, and the LGBTQ community. POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Financial Planning and Budgeting reports to the Executive Vice President of Finance and assists in developing and implementing strategies and policies that support the agency in meeting its financial objectives. The Director works closely with the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Financial Planning and Budgeting and the Finance team to help develop, monitor, and evaluate organization-wide and program-specific budgets. This role is highly collaborative and hands-on, requiring strong budgeting, analytical, and organizational skills, along with experience supporting complex government-funded programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working under tight deadlines in a mission-driven environment. The Director supports the AVP of Financial Planning and Budgeting and the EVP, Finance to ensure fiscal operations align with agency practices, funder regulations, and GAAP accounting standards. The Director must maintain confidentiality and professionalism in managing sensitive budgetary and personnel-related information.
