About The Position

Aritzia is growing and our Financial Reporting and Accounting teams are growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for providing business leaders and external partners with accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting, as well as being a collaborative leader in the organization’s financial reporting and accounting departments. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of all regulatory and external financial reporting, ensure the success of financial audits, and lead the team to manage all financial data, record keeping, and general ledger reporting. Requirements

Proven and best-in-class skills, applicable certifications, education and/or experience in Financial Reporting & Accounting
CPA designation

Responsibilities

Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience.
Resolve complex accounting issues to ensure financial accuracy.
Assess and implement new accounting standards, ensuring Aritzia’s financial statements and external reporting comply with accounting and regulatory standards.
Analyze accounting implications of material contracts and agreements, working collaboratively with Business Support partners to ensure complex financial transactions are processed accurately and on time.
Meet regulatory reporting requirements while minimizing Aritzia’s risk exposure.
Provide analysis and reporting to executive management and Board.
Govern the financial data that builds our financial reporting.
Process financial transactions accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance in accordance with accounting policies.
