About The Position

The Director, Global Cell Therapy (CT), Strategy & Operations (WW Commercial) will act as a critical and trusted thought partner to the CT Vice President, Global Commercial, Cell Therapy, Hematology, the Global Brand leads and their teams. Cell therapy has proven to be transformational in hematological malignancies, and BMS is the only company to have two FDA approved therapies against two distinct targets on the market and four assets in clinical development. As an industry leader, we are exploring opportunities to bring the promise of cell therapy into new frontiers, including autoimmune diseases and solid tumors. Abecma, Breyanzi and arlo-cel are foundational assets to the Cell Therapy Organization (CTO). The role will report to the CT Vice President, Global Commercial, Cell Therapy, Hematology. They will provide strategic and/or operational expert consultation to the brand leads, GPTs and GTM to shape and advance key brand or cross-functional initiatives. The role requires a self-starter who proactively identifies misalignment or decision gaps and drives resolution through effective escalation and cross functional coordination. The incumbent will manage brand specific governance to streamline and optimize operations to enhance efficiency and will play an important role in functional planning, budget management and coordination of governance readiness. The Director will also be project managing important initiatives, including coordination of launch preparation and market interface meetings. The Director will also be responsible for overseeing critical Cell Therapy Organization (CTO) strategic initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required. MBA, PharmD, or other graduate degree strongly preferred
  • 8-10+ years combined commercial experience across related disciplines, Global and/or local Marketing, BI&A, GPS or strategic management consulting experiences
  • Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical industry; possesses a global understanding of end-to-end drug development, manufacturing, and commercialization processes; relevant experience in Cell Therapy is preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and design, manage or implement multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong diagnostic and strategic thinking skills and demonstrated ability to contribute to shaping strategy and translating to execution
  • Results driven, with excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills
  • Concise and impactful oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional, matrixed teams, maintaining strong relationships and influencing outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Strategic thought partner to Brand Leads to provide strategic and/or operational expert consultation to enhance value of Global teams deliverables to markets and for process & governance simplification
  • Anticipate business needs around key milestones and proactively provides strategic recommendation or develop implementation plan to ensure successful achievement of milestone.
  • Orchestrate cross‑functional teams to drive alignment, decision‑making, and execution across global and in‑market stakeholders, serving as the single point integrator for complex analyses to ensure clarity and executive readiness.
  • Lead planning and execution of CTLT visits to key ex‑US markets, including strategic topic prioritization, clear objective setting, and end-to-end coordination to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Partner with BI&T to evolve performance dashboards that track key KPIs, enabling early issue identification, course correction, and performance acceleration.
  • Coordinate and lead fortnightly Go‑to‑Market (GtM) meetings, ensuring cross‑functional coordination, issue resolution, and launch readiness across all relevant functions.
  • Lead cross‑functional assessments for potential footprint or LCM expansion, integrating input across commercial, regulatory, supply, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead ad-hoc strategic projects to ensure optimal value generation for WW cross-functional and in-market teams (i.e., Global/In-Market Interchange, Global/In-Market best practice sharing meetings…)
  • Drive commercial component of governance process; Lead the scheduling and development of key presentations within the governance process
  • Coordinate and support budgeting process, including projection cycles, annual functional planning, and ad hoc budget requests from leadership
  • Identify opportunities for simplification, apply appropriate level of rigor, propose solutions, and lead implementation across teams and functions.
