About The Position

This role leads the development, training, and performance management of instructional staff across IT technology programs, ensuring high-quality learning experiences in areas such as IT Support, Cybersecurity, and Cloud. You will oversee a team responsible for instructor onboarding, professional development, and performance improvement initiatives, while fostering consistency in teaching methodologies and learner engagement strategies. This position combines leadership, operational oversight, and technical expertise to drive instructor effectiveness and learner outcomes. You will collaborate cross-functionally to align instructional practices with program objectives, implement data-informed strategies, and develop resources that enhance instructional excellence. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in IT, Cybersecurity, or related technical fields.
  • 8+ years of experience in instructor development, technical training, or educational leadership roles, including direct management of mid-level managers.
  • Demonstrated success improving instructor performance, learner outcomes, and operational workflows.
  • Strong technical proficiency across IT tools, labs, operating systems, networking, and security.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills to mentor and develop instructional teams.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Organizational skills to manage large-scale training programs and cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Required professional certifications: CompTIA A+ (current edition), CompTIA Security+

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a Manager of Instructional Development & Delivery, providing guidance, professional growth opportunities, and performance feedback to ensure effective instructor training.
  • Oversee the execution of instructor training programs, ensuring alignment with best practices, technical competencies, and organizational quality standards.
  • Conduct classroom observations and evaluations (remote and in-person) to monitor instructional effectiveness and provide actionable feedback.
  • Develop and maintain instructional resources, toolkits, and guides to support teaching staff in leveraging labs, technical tools, and hands-on exercises.
  • Monitor and analyze instructor KPIs, including learner engagement, certification success, and graduation outcomes, implementing targeted interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers, product teams, and educational technology teams to integrate technical content and hands-on activities into courses.
  • Lead initiatives to address systemic instructional challenges and drive continuous improvement across the IT Technology instructor team.
