The Director Investment Banking TDS develops transaction ideas with Senior coverage team members. The position develops revenue in all product areas and executes transactions, maintains client relationships and liaises with clients at the CEO and CFO level. Depth & Scope: Work with relationship manager, corporate bankers and DCM to pitch investment grade financing and balance sheet management including revolving credit. Update clients on investment grade bank market conditions. Proactively work with relationship management, corporate banking to develop acquisition finance business including strategy as to which clients to prioritize. Pitch TD IG acquisition finance capabilities to Treasurer or CFO at client. Recommend syndication strategy for bridge financing including which banks to invite, what each bank should commit, timing to approach participant banks Recommend economic proposal for each bank to ensure success – bridge fees, percentage of DCM take out fees, hedging fees and other. Prepare and deliver underwriting memo to TD credit and risk management as these are firm commitments for multibillion dollars. Work with external legal counsel to draft bridge financing commitment papers and negotiate same with client Maintain dialogue with other leading investment grade acquisition banks to ensure ability to de-risk underwrites as well as win new business
