About The Position

The Director, Market Development & Strategic Insights is responsible for developing a strategy to engage and grow the market for spine surgeons considering site of service, value proposition, economic implications and segmentation, resulting in strategic and targeted adoption of ReActiv8. This role combines strategic relationship building with rigorous data analysis to identify the most attractive market opportunities, develop informed account strategies, and enable efficient commercial execution. This leader will leverage data, market intelligence, and financial insight to prioritize markets, uncover economic drivers within facilities, and guide strategic engagement with key stakeholders. By translating complex market and account-level information into actionable commercial strategies, the Director ensures that market development efforts are focused on the highest-probability, highest-impact opportunities. The role serves as a strategic partner to Sales leadership, enabling more disciplined opportunity development and ensuring seamless transition from early market engagement to active commercial pursuit.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in medical device, healthcare services, or healthcare analytics–driven commercial roles
  • Demonstrated experience using data analytics to drive commercial strategy or market expansion
  • Strong understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement, and facility-level financial drivers
  • Experience engaging physician stakeholders and healthcare administrators
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working with spine surgeons or musculoskeletal markets
  • Experience working with ambulatory surgery centers

Responsibilities

  • Use data analytics and market intelligence to identify and prioritize high-value opportunities within US spine surgeon customer segment
  • Analyze market data, procedure volumes, referral patterns, and facility economics to determine expansion priorities, considering site of service
  • Develop data-informed territory and account development strategies, setting realistic forecasts for adoption
  • Continuously refine opportunity prioritization using quantitative insights and performance metrics
  • Translate market data into clear, actionable strategies for commercial teams
  • Build relationships with spine surgeons, physician owners, and ASC leadership to understand clinical, operational, and economic priorities
  • Make inroads with influential societies for increased awareness and influence
  • Engage stakeholders early to shape clinical and economic pathways for adoption
  • Influence decision-making through strategic insight and value-based discussions
  • Use data and insights to guide strategic discussions with stakeholders and influence decision-making
  • Identify key economic drivers and adoption barriers within target accounts
  • Develop account-level opportunity strategies grounded in data and financial insight
  • Conduct detailed analysis of facility economics, including contracted pricing structures, reimbursement dynamics, and purchasing pathways
  • Gather and synthesize competitive and market intelligence
  • Develop actionable insights that inform pricing strategy, account targeting, and market access planning
  • Provide leadership with ongoing visibility into market trends and growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain a structured pipeline of well-qualified opportunities supported by strong analytical insight
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to align on opportunity prioritization and account strategy
  • Ensure disciplined qualification of opportunities before transitioning to Sales teams
  • Provide comprehensive data, insights, and strategic context during opportunity handoff
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Analytics teams to integrate field insights with broader commercial strategy
  • Contribute field-based market intelligence to inform product, pricing, and growth strategies
  • Help develop scalable frameworks for data-driven market development across the organization
