About The Position

Please note: This role will be a dedicated resource for one of our premiere clients. The candidate is required to be onsite, 5 days a week, at the client’s Stamford, Connecticut office What we offer You'll prepare daily reconciliations of positions and trades between client records and prime brokers, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. You'll work closely with prime brokers to resolve trade breaks and maintain smooth operational processes. You'll manage monthly reconciliations of tri-party positions, cash, market values, and accruals, while also preparing performance estimates for COO clients. You'll review Administrator NAV packages each month, update portfolio accounting systems when necessary, and build and maintain fund accrual schedules. You'll process corporate actions such as dividends, splits, and mergers for client portfolios, while serving as a point of escalation for complex issues. The salary for this position will be dependent on experience and location ($175,000-$200,000).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of financial services experience, specifically in middle office roles with alternative investment funds
  • Expertise in financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, bank debt, repos, options, swaps, futures, and FX spot/forward contracts
  • Advanced knowledge of margin processes and cash projections
  • Excellent attention to detail, multitasking ability, and strong communication skills for managing client relationships
  • Hardworking, punctual, and personable
  • Solid understanding of hedge funds and private equity
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Advanced computer proficiency, especially in Excel and portfolio accounting systems like Enfusion or Geneva
  • Work full-time in the office
