The Monash Graduate Research Office (MGRO) supports approximately 6,000 graduate research students across all our campuses, providing strategic oversight and operational excellence across the full research training lifecycle. As one of the world's leading research-intensive universities, Monash is reimagining its approach to graduate research administration – developing a world-class ecosystem supported by a new student management system and enhanced operational processes. Build the Future. Reporting to the Executive Director, Research Services and working in partnership with the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Researcher Development), you will provide operational and administrative leadership for MGRO during this defining period. You will lead a team of approximately 35 staff, building a high-performing culture while guiding them through significant change. Key areas of influence include: Leading MGRO through a major business transformation including the launch of a new student management system and reimagined business processes Overseeing comprehensive student administration across the complete research lifecycle Building collaborative partnerships across faculties, eSolutions and the DVC (Research & Enterprise) portfolio Driving service excellence, innovation and data-driven continuous improvement Ensuring regulatory compliance and effective stakeholder management
